The Position:

We’re looking for a responsible and friendly person to join our team as a Host!

We are looking for one or two folks to work from 2-5 days per week. Weekends are typically required. Previous retail or restaurant experience is required.

Knowledge of, or interest in British food, British culture, and teas is a big plus!

As a host, you will warmly greet customers, take reservations accurately, manage our reservation book efficiently, and thank customers sincerely. You’ll interact with our service staff, handle all phone calls, and do your part to ensure the dining room runs as smoothly as possible. You’ll process take-away orders, and play the very important role of managing our reservation book. We need someone with a “can-do” positive attitude, who will take pride in keeping our reservation book filled efficiently, and truly enjoy helping our guests.

For the right person, we would consider a supervisory position as well. There is room to grow with us!

BOH – Experienced Line Cook

A Taste of Britain offers a great culture with a wonderful work environment and we’ve been around for over 30 years, so you know you’ll have job security! If this sounds interesting, please read this entire post before applying.

We’re looking for talented, experienced and passionate career minded Line Cook to join our growing team of pros. This position is Full Time, with a 5 day workweek including weekends. Most shifts are between 9 am and 6 pm. Early mornings or later evenings may be required from time to time. SEPTA doesn’t service our location on weekends, so you must have your own vehicle.

In order to fit in with our existing team of rock-star Back-of-House professionals, potential candidates absolutely must possess the following:

  • 2+ years of kitchen experience

Part Time Busser (Server Assistant) –

Daytime Hours, Great Culture, and Good Pay!

We are looking for someone to help with our busy dish washing position on weekends and busy days. 

You will help bus and reset tables in the dining room, bring bus tubs up and down a flight of stairs, perform some handwashing of dishes and cookware, put away clean dishes, perform side work or cleaning tasks as necessary, and in general lend a hand however it’s needed in this critical department during our busiest times.

Previous restaurant experience is a plus.  Or, if you are hard working, strong, and bring the right attitude, we can train you!  Must have a sense of hustle, be very neat and organized, and take pride in what you do. 

You must have your own transportation, as SEPTA does not service our area on the weekends.

We have some flexibility with hours and days, but ideally we’re looking for someone to work 11-5:30 from 2-5 days per week. Pay is $15-$20/hour depending on experience and availability.
